Dr. Ian Hall is a mycorrhizal fungi expert. He introduced truffle cultivation to the Southern Hemisphere and established the basis of a truffle industry in New Zealand. Ian founded Truffles & Mushrooms Consulting Ltd, which now advises internationally on methods for the cultivation of truffles and other ectomycorrhizal mushrooms. His work also focuses on the beneficial effects of mycorrhizas in forestry, horticulture, and agriculture.
